1999 was the year of ‘The Book’ for me – ‘The Italian Spinone’ was published, launched and well-received worldwide.

2000 - I  repeated the successful breeding of Redrue Sanday at B. x B. Quaresima of 1998, which produced my ShCh Brindisi, ShCh/IrShCh/NedCh B. Boscarelli - first show champion for Martin Wellman (Jaspins) and Green Star-winning Bricco Viole for Sue Colliety.  Their sire, Moses, won his first CC/BOB at WKC – he sadly died prematurely from cancer in 2001.

2001 – We moved from Sussex to Devon! Tosca (B. Quaresima) was mated for a last litter to Moses' sire, Linda Collins' imported show champion Brody and produced Ecco di Mare (Junior Stakes winner) and Ecco D'Oro, to found kennels for Kay Holden (Italix) and Rita Allum (Macarica) - both have produced CC-winning stock and more notably, the ISCGB Club BIS-winning ShCh/AmCh I. Massimiliano.

A second Golden litter from B. Tiger Lily (Hazel) produced show-winning B. Black Jack and B. Black Eyed Susan.

B. Pasquarella (Nora) gained FT awards and was Top Field Trial Spinone for the year – handled by Rory Major.  The second FT award-winner from this small kennel.

2002 – B. Infidelity won consistently, including 2xRCCs and his first CC.

Canine Partner, Orca, became the second Bedeslea-bred Golden to gain the accolade of a National Bravery Award, when he saved his wheelchair-bound owner, Cheryl, from a terrifying fall.  He was aged just eighteen months of age and had only been ‘paired’ with Cheryl for six weeks.  The first to gain such an award was ‘Hero’ some three or four years earlier.  Such amazing dogs!

2003 – I judged Spinoni at Crufts in March, a great honour and thrill and was presented at the end of judging with an ‘Achievement Trophy’ from charity, Canine Partners, to mark the twenty-first Bedeslea dog working as an Assistant in the community.

Invited to just the Eastern GR Club Open Show.

Dora the Pug joined the family!

Esta (B. Brindisi) won her first CC at Leeds and was later mated to Letyreos Cold Cut to produce ShCh B. Cutting Edge via Hastabbi JW (Hetty) - 1st show champion for Barbara Abbishaw and first JW and CC-winner for Ruth and Jeff Roberts with Roger (B. Cutting It with Mirkwood).  Not forgetting RCC-winning Tilly (B. Cutting The Cards) and Sonarbra foundation bitch for Barbara Harrison and first CC-winner/Ir Sh Ch in the breed for Graham and Dian Underwood with Dash (IrShCh B.Cutting A Dash for Caldocani).

Golden girl, 'Black Eyed Susan' produced a litter of 12 that included B. Blushing Bride via Seruilia (future dam of Seruilia Snow Bear JW) for Glennis Hewitson.

2004 - Hetty (B. Cutting Edge via Hastabbi) won her first CC, was Top Spinone Puppy and both Hetty and Roger gained their JW titles.

Zack (B. Boscarelli with Jaspins ShCM) gained his Irish show title. ShCh B. Dama Pasquale (Cassie) won her first CC.

Goldens B. Blushing Bride (Emma) and B. Canny Lad (for Pam Simms, St. Vincent) gained ch show awards.

Dora (Jansara Dansarella for B.) gained her title and continued her winning ways with a total of 10 CCs over the next year or so.
